The EmeraldPlanet program for March 29th shares valuable insights to our world-wide viewers on the importance of the International Donors’ Conference Towards a New Future for Haiti being co-hosted by the United Sates, United Nations, in cooperation with the Government of Haiti. Brazil, Canada, the European Union, France, and Spain are co-chairs as leading donors to Haiti. Those who are concerned that life in Haiti will not return to normal after the January, 2010 devastating earthquake can be encouraged by the recovery along the African and Asian coasts devastated a little more than five years ago by an earthquake and resulting tsunami that swept away cities killing 250,000 people and left 2.5 million others homeless.

This television program will weave the topics of: long-term funding; reconstruction; environmental impacts; education; government policies; transparency; cooperation; collaboration; and legislative support for equal opportunities among various Haitian and international organizations as "best practices" to fast-track the redevelopment process. The complex interplay of public policy, financing, entrepreneurship, education, health care, and respect for basic human rights will be addressed through this Program with each guest being interviewed in one of the four-13 minute segments. Each guest has extensive experience in on-going humanitarian projects for Haiti or in Africa and the Middle East.
