Program Summary: City21 is a
multi-year sustainable city
educational research and multimedia publishing project
involving cities in the United States and a number of countries in
Europe, Asia, and South America.The movie arises from a worldwide learning
journey that was transmuted into a cinematic composition illuminating
some of the key perspectives and initiatives that are re-shaping the
ethos of the 21st
Century City. The underlying quest of the filmmakers is to reframe the
conventional and uninspiring visions of the urban future with an
unprecedented combination of fresh, invigorating, sustainable,
economically viable, and life enhancing concepts.
Joel will
present on the Center for Technology and
National Security Policy's Transformative Innovation for
Development and Emergency Support (TIDES). This is a new Project Based
Learning educational competition initiative that will build upon (TIDES)
global Sustainable Technology Advanced Research
and Experimentation initiatives. These initiatives are being created
across various
natural disaster
environments (e.g. flood, fire, earthquake, volcano, and hurricane)
with respect to rapidly
deplorable
and mobile innovations that can be prepositioned in a disaster prone
community/region.
