The basic land grant mission is teaching, research, and extension. Through its community college, flagship, and graduate schools, it offers affordable post-secondary education to District of Columbia residents at the certificate, baccalaureate, and graduate levels. These programs will prepare students for immediate entry into the workforce, the next level of education, specialized employment opportunities, and life-long learning. The University of the District of Columbia is a diverse, selective, teaching, research, and service university in the United States land-grant tradition, serving the people of Washington, D.C., the nation, and the world.The Center for Nutrition, Diet, and Health (CNDH) is a unit within the Cooperative Extension Service (CES) of the University of the District of Columbia (UDC). CES performs the land-grant mission of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to extend university-generated science based knowledge and skills to community resident to improve their quality of life and health. Since 2000 CNDH as ms related to food, nutrition, and health to improve consumer awareness and health sustaining behaviors among D.C. residents and the professionals serving them. To implement its programs, CNDH partners with 19 lead organizations, i.e., Federal, local government, public schools, universities, community service.As you may know EmeraldPlanet is
