The EmeraldPlanet TrekThe EmeraldPlanet
Trek will cross 300,000 miles, through 143 countries,
across six continents.

Our efforts are to link principals identified among a 1,000 'best
practices' in the 143 nations being visited through our world-wide
movement. The Trek will take some five years and encompass 300,000
miles, with visits to over 750 major cities and countless suburban and
rural communities in the identified nations.
Now that it is firmly established the management and Advisors are ready
to commence the North American and world-wide Trek late spring or summer 2011. A number of mini-Treks are planned in preparing for the continuous and extensive Trek. Such many Treks in alphabetical order include:
Argentina; Bangladesh; Bhutan; Canada; Chile; China; Honduras; India;
Marshall Islands; Mongolia; Papua New Guinea; Paraguay; Sri Lanka; Trinidad
& Tobago; and Uraguay. A special 20 day scientific research expedition
will be conducted in Antarctica with companion study and daily broadcast from the
South Georgia and Falkland Islands.
The world-wide EmeraldPlanet movement will link millions of
professionals and citizens around the globe through a practical
community-by-community marketing, identification, evaluation, marketing and promotions Trek. This 5 year project is to identify the "best of the best". This is the
"high touch" feature following the "high tech" movie success
of former American Vice President Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth. Needed are prototype or production duel-fuel diesel and electric engine vehicles. Any thoughts or suggestions on this need are encouraged.
During the Trek we will:
- Produce 100% of
our own biodiesel from previously used vegetable oils or local oil seeds
- Conduct on-site
interviews, community based seminars, K- 12 school visits, and university
lectures
- Provide streaming
video of our progress and experiences over the Internet through our own
social networking sites reaching some one million (1,000,000) viewers daily. The EmeraldPlanet television program will be broadcast daily through its television station in Washington, D.C. USA. Additional coverage is already provided through WiFi/WiMAX TV and other internet distribution channels.
- Weekly one hour
television broadcast programs through the green channels of Discovery Communications
and National Geographic Television
- Interact with agricultural
cooperatives, woman's organizations, micro lending institutions and major industries
- Meet with
representatives and members of the national and local Chambers of
Commerce, AMCHAMS (American Chambers of Commerce abroad), civic groups
(e.g. Rotary International, Friendship Force, Sister Cities
International), government agencies and ministries, and other community based stakeholders
The objectives of the EmeraldPlanet Trek are:
- Identify at least
1,000 "best practices" to address
- Reducing energy costs
- Increasing alternative fuel supplies
- Reducing air,
soil, and water pollution
- Increasing the
quality-of-life for all citizens
- Highlighting expanding
'green' job opportunities
- Improving the
tax base of local communities
- Broadcasting
interviews concerning technologies, processes, services, and products
that will allow local communities and regions to gain greater energy
independence based upon utilization of identified local feedstock
resources.
- These discoveries
will be shared daily through the Internet and broadcasts
weekly via Channel 10 TV in Fairfax, Virginia USA, with distributions
to 532 stations and all other American media markets. This televised effort can be downloaded through the internet across the globe. Our interactive web
site EmeraldPlanet will have constant progress reports,
input, peer-to-peer streaming video communications, dedicated group
blogging, regular cell phone text messaging, Tweeting, AM and FM radio
interviews, TV Whitespace broadcast, print media interviews and internet feedback
from our world-wide members. We are being directly assisted in this
effort by the United States Geological Service, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Google Maps, and
numerous organizations, agencies, universities, and private citizens.
- The advantages
for your organization, company, and non-profit as a sponsor will be, but
not limited to:
- World-wide
exposure to some one and one-half [1.5] billion viewers during the 2012
Summer Olympics based in London, England, United Kingdom;
- Full media
exposure and tie-ins with members of the "Alliances & Partnerships"
in the United States and the major cities of the 143 nations during the
lead up to the London based Olympics;
- World-wide
exposure to some three and one-half [3.5] billion viewers during the
five year world-wide Trek in 143 countries, 750 cities, and some 40,000
communities as mapped and detailed on the web site.
- Daily exposures
to at least one million [1,000,000] discrete visitors to our web
site www.emerald-planet.org and interactive streaming video social networking site The
EmeraldPlanet and the related Facebook, Meetup, Flickr; Youtube;
among other social networking sites;
- Extensive
real-time performance analysis and research on all performance aspects of special duel-fuel vehicles as established by the automotive
manufacturer engineers and designers in every conceivable harsh
environment on the globe using 100% biodiesel as the biomass fuel and
electricity;
- "Naming"
rights for the most prominent placements on the two vehicles and
bioprocessors. As well as prominent listing on global television broadcast, social networking sites and media releases;
- A design and
color scheme that will compliment your 'green' slogan(s)
as desired;
- Signage at each
of our stops along the Trek when the vehicles and the bioprocessors are
on display at the various Mayor's offices, Chambers of Commerce, direct
tie-ins with in-country dealer showrooms, used as backdrops and/or
displays for university seminars and symposiums, filming at each of the
1,000 "best practice" sites where possible, among other
Internet, special programming, and regular weekly TV broadcasts;
- Other prominent
displays and exhibits of the vehicles throughout the Trek;
- The official
start will be at the United States Capitol in late Spring or early Summer of 2011 depending
upon negotiations with Discovery Communications and National Geographic
Television ending with a global television event in October, 2016 in New
York City in conjunction with the General Assembly session of the United
Nations and the (Former President Bill) Clinton Global Initiatives
Forum.
- We are planning
for at least 1,000,000 discrete visitors per day to our web site and
though The EmeraldPlanet after our 2011 launch with the scalable
capacity of 2,000,000 discrete visitors daily.
- This effort
will have tremendous potential for those sponsors providing products,
services, and finances as we take the sustainable environmental message
around the globe--up close and personal to over three billion
consumers.
As stated above our production Team and I have commenced the weekly
television show on June 21st, 2009 through Channel 10 TV, Fairfax,
Virginia USA. The EmeraldPlanet is currently being viewed
by some 50,000 audience world-wide, broadcast to 532 television stations with
an estimated 105 stations downloading the program weekly. We are
currently in discussions with cable and open-broadcast stations in the Middle
East, China, Mongolia, Turkey, and South America for weekly offerings in both
English and the local national languages.
