Tino Baguio, Founder/COO - Panel discussion with Dr. Hancock Energy Management Solutions
Program Summary: The Obama Administration in a bipartisanship effort with the U.S. Congress passed the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (Stimulus Bill) to "jump start" the faltering economy. In a move that has been praised by many to reduce America's dependency on imported energy and clean the environment $60 billion is available for 'green' projects. Under the categories of Energy and Weatherization $30.4 million; $167.3 million; $115.9 million; $529.8 million; $541.1 million; and $351.6 million is allocated for Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland, New York, California, and Illinois respectively.
It is estimated that less that 10% of the funds have actually been used. With $313.6 million allocated in the Washington, D.C. region alone to create over 90,000 jobs nationally what does the investments mean, how will 'green' jobs be created, how can you become involved, and what projects have long-term environmental impact.
Dr. Samuel Lee Hancock, Producer and Host for The EmeraldPlanet will interview three nationally recognized experts with a combined 80 years of professional experience in helping create the 'green' economy on this week's program. Scott Sklar, President, The Stella Group, Michael S. Lee, Chief Technology Analysts, White Door Technologies, and Tino Baguio, Founder/COO of the Energy Management Services will share about where the money is being allocated, how you can become engaged in the 'green' economy, and what leading edge technologies are available today to reduce: energy consumption; businesses and private home owners power costs; and harmful greenhouse gas emissions.
This interesting and stimulating program will not only help you understand the dynamics of the emerging 'green' economy but also allow local, state, and national elected officials plot a path towards a more environmentally friendly, ecologically sound, and less costly future for all citizens of the United States and around the globe.
As you may know EmeraldPlanet is a worldwide non-profit organization dedicated to identifying at least 1,000 'best practices' for sustainable environmental and economic development. Our efforts are to link those having such "best practices" with those needing the technologies, processes, services, and products to be outstanding ecological stewards of their resources.
